Today We Lost our dear Grandma Marie (Griffin) Nichols 02/16/2011

Our wedding 29th March 2008 

She is back with our father in heaven & back with her dear sweetheart Murray Nichols our dear Grandpa. Aleast she is not suffering from her disease of having Dementia, & She wasn't feeling to well all yesterday & she had a cold. May the Lord bless us to have comfort in the loss of our dear Mom, Aunt, Grandma. She was gr8 lady to all her family & friends. She definitely have gr8 spirit that love the gospel. She will be miss until we meet again love ya always may u guys go forth & do the work in heaven together as missionaries.. May we always remember to have Faith in our father in heaven to strengthen our own testimony & bear them with our friends & family, we don't know when our time is to leave from this earth to live back with our father heaven someday.

Ann Marie Griffin Nichols 09/29/1926~02/16/2011 Ann Marie Griffin Nichols was escorted home on February 16, 2011 by her sweetheart who passed away just five days earlier.Born September 29, 1926, in Clarkston, Utah, to Hyrum Dewey Griffin and Alice Jane Davies. Marie spent her childhood in Clarkston and Logan. She attended Logan High School and then Utah State University, where she received a degree in English. Marie had the opportunity of serving an LDS Mission in the Hawaiian Islands. On July 17, 1952 she married Murray L. Nichols in the Logan Temple. Their union was blessed with eight children who became the focal point of her life. Mom spent most of her time and energy serving others, especially her children and grandchildren. Mom loved quilting and handwork, reading, doing crossword puzzles and playing Scrabble. She worked for Bean, Bean & Smedley Law Offices for several years. Mom served a one year mission with Murray in Oklahoma in her later years and also spent much of her time doing extraction work for the LDS church. Her love and devotion to her family will be greatly missed. Survived by her children: Bruce (Janine), Jane (Dick) Anderson, Marianne (Cal) Springer, Ken (Julie), Wayne (Denise), Natalie Nicolls, Patricia (Joseph) Swenson, Bonnie (Thomas) LeFevre, plus 33 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her brother Dewey Lynn Griffin, and her sisters: Florence Butler, Audrey (Ed) Hutchison, Joyce Molyneaux, and Ruth (Trevor) Jones. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kaysville 12th Ward Chapel, 1039 East Crestwood Road, Kaysville. Friends may visit family prior to the funeral from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Funeral Directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
